On this vertex where I stand,
Where the widening sea collides against the sky,
While the dreamlike distance inundates the eye,

Dark fingers of jagged light descend,
From the heavens which they rend,
Through the ages and the storm,
Briefly lighting cloudy forms,

And at the ceiling of the mount,
Where the swirling clouds fragment,
Split for miles by golden light,
Stretching ever toward the night

Whose sombre eyes possess a glare,
Wheel through space devoid of air,
Can captivate this earthly crowd,
With all the silence of a cloud..

wow. zenith, what a brilliant and beautiful description of the awe
we feel when facing heaven-ward. You have captured the sunset
in its full glory and wonder. Nothing quite has the power to possess
me as does the sea, wind, clouds and sky ... and all that surrounds them.

Truly remarkable and indicative of a master poet. Distinctly
impressive, my friend. Lovely read ..
