So much that he needs,
He looks at me with a question,
He says, Answer me please.

He said mom,
Do you remember what you said,
About the pictures in the clouds,
That God gave a sketch pad to the kids,
The one's who have died.

I said, I remember the story,
As I looked into his eyes.

I could see the tears behind his little lids,
But not one failed and I wondered why,
But listen to this.

He said moma,
I wish Granny would write me a note,
And I could see it in the sky,
I wish she would too, son,
Then I wanted to cry.

I asked him what would he want her to write,
What would you like to see,
He answered then so quietly.

I love you Dylan,
Love Granny.

A tender write this. One that caught my wandering eye. I guess because I am in some mentations of late thinking of my regrets. One of which is never expressing my love for my late departed dad. I feel the inklings of this write..missing the ones who have gone...and perhaps missing what we could have said and done..or vice-versa...I too wish for a sketch pad in the skies...for both my self to write and to hear the messages from the other side.. oh well...a touching tender write. One that evokes some thoughts within.
