Array ( [sid] => 137047 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => thanks to the little girl, who set Us free [time] => 2007-08-30 05:23:04 [hometext] => just rambling outloud about how i appreciated the littlegirl inside that helped heal the adult me [bodytext] => this is for the little girl
who littlerly saved my life, my world
she came unbeknown to me, when my life was a mess
it is in those times, she help take on my stress
she kept my dark pains with her, so i wouldnt fall apart
she placed distance for a man, instead of love in my heat
she allowed me the joy, of not crying everyday
thats not to say, i never felt sadness in anyway
but she took those most painful memories, from my soul
she kept me from falling to pieces, from losing control
and there are still some things, better left unsaid
and i will look at them, as being better off dead
but even in their death, the best part of me living has to go on
and know that in God, I'm never alone
it was she that helped me, to find my strength the heal
as she slowly, but carefully tried to reveal
things to me, that she had taken to conceal
the secret pains, that she felt i was ready to know
she knew emotionally, i was ready to grow
at first they were memories, to hard to write, or believe true
i was confused, at what to do
i knew that once on paper ,they couldnt hurt me any more
writting them sometimes, was like opening an old sore
but just as a sore, takes a little time to heal, and gain new skin
i too emotionally, would be my old self again
once i started to write, it all just came poring out
though tears sometimes, I just wanted shout
I 'm free, im free, finally I'm free
free just to be me
through it all, i learned that my past couldnt hurt me anymore
and its ok, to allow the love of a man, at my hearts door
so many thanks, to the little girl i let go
because it was she, who let me know, i didnt need her any mo
she too is free,
for she is the adult me

I was deeply touched by this passage.
I could feel all the emotion - coursing through your pen.
It felt so real - one couldn't help but to be moved.
