What is it do you think
that we're all looking for?
We who have been hurt
and lied to by those with smiles
on their faces.
~I am reaching out to you.~
Do you suppose a hand
that is honest will do?
I need something
anything right now
to keep me from thinking
so much about what He did.
Folks that have been through
similar pain should meld.
Come together and end their hells.
Riding waves which
seem to carry me away
so far away from here.
Fear has settled in this
hardened heart.
~I am reaching out to you~
and I'm not sure why.
I can appreciate your thoughts ...
Poet...I am in love with words
that your heart and soul have penned.
Never have I even seen your face,
it's the heart and soul that matters
only to me.
If I walked through fields of thorns
do you think I could count on you
to be around?
If I take a step forward
you won't be the one to knock me
back down...will you?
It is so hard trusting humans.
~I am reaching out to you~
Can you see me shaking
teeth chattering.
It is so cold where I am...
I need to learn to warm myself.
How about just a friend to
lie on the ground and watch the clouds
roll on by.
Blanket, sunshine, green grass...
I think that's all we need.

this is so tender I can cry.
I loved the pic it started this off perfectly.
Yes those feelings of what if's?
The sting of a wounded heart.
A heart that is weary and in need of healing.
Wanting to trust and needing someone.
Though afraid to fully do so after all of the pain......
I feel this!!

I absolutely ADORE the picture you put with this sweets.
and all that follows is like a gentle stirring of heart strings
plucked by the most delicate of words ... there are times when
the words of another bring a comfort like nothing else in this
world can. You have conveyed that with expertise, sis.
There is a definite wariness in trusting another's heart when
you've been so crippled with aching emotions. Reaching out
is a good thing. Exposing our hearts is always a risk, but in
doing so, it frees us. Definitely frees us, body and soul.

You should know I am here should ever you need an ear, shoulder, a hand and so on and so on, ad nauseum, etc.
Freinds never abuse another's heart because we understand that it is so fragile and tender!
