[hometext] => This poem is dedicated my Uncle Billy who was deployed 2 weeks ago to Turkey which boarders Iraq , he has a 18 month old son, also to my cousin Justin who was deployed last week also to Turkey who is engaged, to my brother Ray who is next to go who is engaged also, also his friend Jerry who has his whole life a head of him.
Lastly I dedicate this to my father who served and dedicated 20 years of his life to the Army who if North Korea starts becoming involved will be pulled out of retirement. These men are all soldiers pray for them. [bodytext] => We are the few the proud who sacrifice our lives for you so you may live to create more choas. you are the lawyers the dictators and the rich who preach of peace and harmony and eat your meals as others starve in our world. We are the few and the proud who sacrifice our time with our new born children and miss out in their lives but we sacrifice it so others like them may live to see another day. you are the many who fight the small fights and win the small battles through talk and cheap chatter. We are the few and the proud instead of our mouths preaching peace we seek it out through physical action while you sit in the comfort of your homes and watch the news on ESPN. your are the many who after tragedy struck begged us few to use action against those who brought sadness to our nation but at the first sighn of action you contradict your selves. We are the few and the proud waiting in the short lines at the recruiting office with our bags in hand ready to fight the good fight. you are the many who at the first sighn of the draft yell, scream, and beg, do not send me I wont go. We are your life savers, We are the few who sacrifice our whole lives so you may go on with your existance, go on preaching, go on contradicting, either way we will protect you not because we were forced to but because we want to . We are the few We are the proud!
