I'm a poet of profound desire
floating higher
with a choir of angels
singing my tune ,
when the moon
is but a heartbeat away......

and dreams rushing through diamond skies
eyes afire stare like starlight
all night , everyday
dreamin' dreams... alas they fade
though at last when eyes will close forever
let them know the skies were severed
by the blazing path I've left behind...

Doug this is wonderful! There are so many words to describe this: passionate, hopeful, daring, heartfelt, beautiful, the list goes on!
This is like seeing sparks of a soul blazing on the page, inspiring and amazing.

wow!!! This is passionate in a different way than the rest of your poems. This has no air of shadows about it, it is all pure energetic joy and excitement. I love the second stanza!!!

I think you are too modest about your first poem. i think its a masterpiece :-D
