This field of promise dying now.
Days pass like silent stars.
Silent stars falling free.
It's like this every time I die.

I endure the greatest pain
that I might spare her just a little.
She , in peace , and I , insane.
It's like this every time I die.

'Twas to much for me to ask
that she would try to raise the dead.
Better now that she can smile
heedless of my frozen eye

The sun has left and all is colder.
Blind , I cross the endless mile.
Hurt and lost in fields of horror.
It's like this...

Every Time I Die.

I'm so sorry, this was an amazing write, I only wish you didn't have to endure the pain that comes with it. I'm here for you if you need me.

Holy heck doug! I was so elated to see a new write from you
finally!! but this . . .this is so grief-stricken and sad. Bloody
painful to read, but so damn well done! I'm sorry, my friend
if in any way this piece is true to life, because I know, intimately
well, how heart breaking a moment like this can be. (And just
how long it endures ... regardless of any intended "snapping out
of" we might want for ourselves ... and even attempt!)

Just know, that you could write something SO emotive, is
proof that there is life. And you shall rise above this.

Bravo poet!

~Breezy

Oh Doug, I'm so deeply sorry you have to go through pain such as this (even if it does produce a poem that is so exquisite!).
The imagery here is so potent and the lines are positively dripping with emotion!
I agree with Breezy that to be able to write like this is a blessing for you and it will help you.

Lovely to read you work,
Dom

Our most painful moments tears words of deep and honest truths from our hearts.
You have such a magnificent piece here, but alas born of pain I send you arms of comfort, and a heart of strength to make you strong.
Hugs ND
