Here I sit among my tears
not giving in to my fears
a time of grief is deep inside
are you with me, by my side
In these depths I can not stay
yet are the memories of bright days
those I will carry for all time
even with a glass of wine
The future now seems so dark
all I can do is hold my heart
if you were here just for today
what would you say to show me the way
Yes I'm with you for all time
even with your glass of wine
shed three tears for my sake
then get up and fill your plate
I hear your thoughts oh so loud
but up here, speech is not allowed
I carry with me all you gave
I'm so glad, this we can save
One step at a time and day by day
is all I can really say
the pain will ease and the hurt will clear
giving way to a new year
You know I will miss you everyday
but just in case I forgot to say
three small words best describe
how I feel deep inside
I love you
