Can one be jealous of what they've done them self
I caused her pain by lying in another’s bed
As she goes down that road, I feel what she felt
My heart feels as if it has been ripped in ten
But unable to complain, cause I did it first
I feel trapped, the awful taste of my own medicine
She hasn't done it yet, so how much will it hurt
Heard it a million times, you reap what you sow
It was a huge mistake, what made do such a thing
I still fight temptation; it still hits a heavy blow
If I could turn back time, there would be no fling
The lust is only there when I'm away from my wife
Needing affection, to kill the pain of being alone
Forced to leave for months, only brings us strife
Unbelievable that in less than hour my vow was blown
I still love her with the very essence of my soul
I couldn't live with myself to see her in pain
Why is that temptation is so hard to control
Without affection, there's depression contained
I remember when I was blind and she was my light
Never turned my head she was all I would see
I try my hardest to do right but it been a tough fight
What must I do for temptation to let me be
So I beg and plead for her to change her ways
Or should I just let her go and accept my fate
If we could start anew just like a brand new day
Constantly fighting this battle for my marriage's sake

Well It was wrong that you did this, but it shows that you are sorry! A marriage is a sacred thing & some take it lightly! If you prove you still love this person than go to every length to do it! Good luck! Christina

Thanks man, much appreciated, Things are alot better know than when the poem was written. We've had a good long talk and we're both happy with each other. I learned my lesson two years ago, when I commited the crime. But thanks again. Take care.

My friend......this poem hits the nail on the head. The temptations...the guilt. If you have time please read "Devils Eyes" at my page. I think you'll be able to relate, Very well done!!! Larry :o)
