OMG Excellent writing of the feelings of losing in love. I can relate to this so well right now...(having a tad bit of a tough time myself these days)...damn life is a struggle. Your second stanza made me want to grab and hold you...you're no fool, my friend, just human.
Much peace,
Laura

This is an excellent piece. It surely sums up that flow of having love one minute and seeing it disappear the next. I love however the second part of the piece which reflects perfectly how foolish, bare, naive, lifeless and numb we are left feeling. Well done

wow ... exceptional poetry!!

My friend, this was heart stirring, for SO many reasons, most of
which was the ending ... damn sad. It is easy to say, "don't feel
this way" ... or "don't ever let ANYONE dare take your emotions",
but the truth is, I've been there. And I know how patronizing,
those words from well meaning friends can be. (Though always
their hearts were in the right place).

Truth be told, we always own our emotions, regardless of what
triggered them, and you have claimed yours as emphatically
and with as much skill as any one person could! A mastered
pieced of work, my friend.

Shine, you sparkling diamond ... your glow is still there!!

~Breezy
