Array ( [sid] => 135308 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Backseat Goodbye [time] => 2007-06-17 12:59:33 [hometext] => I write about pretty much the same thing over and over again..mainly because it all happens over and over again. Ex-boyfriends aren't worth it. Tell me what you guys think of this. [bodytext] => The words that you're saying
I've heard them before
they used to be mine
but this time they're yours

It's all coming back
like you always come back
back to this fraction of what I once was
I'm far too young to be this empty
and we're far too done to do this now
but we've played our cards
the deal is done
and second chances have run out

"It's only one night"
and "It's only one time"
and we've waited so long
that this is ALMOST right
Is that all I was..?
just a simple attraction..?
or is that just how things are now?
don't say you wished it was me
but I know I wished it was you
don't say you wished it was me
we both know that was never true

I never thought you'd be the one
to throw it in my face
I was sure you'd never use me
I was sure you loved me still
..that year means nothing now...

This was a bad idea
but we're already too far in
you've gotten far too close
and she's just a complication
and he was only a fling
and you just keep fooling me..
..just keep fooling me..

don't give me those eyes
and don't throw your words
it takes two
and you can't rape what doesn't resist
this...you and me..?
it's ending like this...
it's all up to you now...
it's your mistake too
now I've become another drunken night
and you're just another line to write [comments] => 2 [counter] => 181 [topic] => 22 [informant] => StephaniePaige [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

wow! What a write so full of tortured emotion. This is far too familiar
to this reader. Damn! The uncertainty of any situation can just about
choke the life out of a heart, and only adds pain to the second
guessing and reminiscing ...

holy hell, that last line is so absolute and perfect! In fact the
whole piece has me contemplating past decisions and
mistakes ... (not that they could be changed ... but there
HAS to be a lesson there, right? )

Excellent post. Very emotional, (just as I LOVE it!)

~Breezy
(hoping this is not a current situation, but if so ... hang in there.
The sun sometimes hides, but it is always there behind those
storm clouds ~)

Good write. I wonder how many women will read this and relate. I know I can. You've expressed your feelings well.
Peace,
Laura
