[bodytext] => A content smile lit your lips that night— It was story time. We sat on a little red carpet, with lighthouses and trains, And made believe we were happy. We built block cities, and giggled As we watched them crash and burn, Kicking them over with our big feet Stuffed too tightly into size four shoes. We spun tall tales with dinosaurs and monsters, And when we were done, with our eyes softly drifting, And our minds proven incapable of creating stories It was then that the truth fell like raindrops from our lips And we listened, carefully, as it spilled in puddles Collecting around our bodies, seeping slowly underneath us, Soaking softly into our clothes, spreading in our minds And then time slowed, colors swirled, and we understood.
