My shoulder was always on call, even though I didn’t want you to cry
I thought I could trust you
You were my best friend through thick and thin
As we got older boys became an issue.
We swore we’d never let them hurt our friendship
But suddenly my shoulder got gradually tired
So many times you had cried over a guy.
Then when it came to a time when I needed your shoulder
It wasn’t there
Yes, I was crying over a guy
But also over you.
He was my boyfriend and also my first real love
You took him from me
You acted so easily you smiled and waved at me
Even though you could see my mascara running
Then you said the worst “ is it ok that me and him are together?”
Those were your damn words
If it had been more than five minutes after he crushed my heart I wouldn’t have cared but no
He crushed my heart, but not nearly as much as you did
You also crushed it and on that same damn day
I acted as if I didn’t car because I never dared to cry on your shoulder because of him
I gave you my trust you took it for granted
But I kept to my promise I didn’t let a boy ruin our friendship
But after this happening more than a couple of times
It’s you ruining our friendship
I’ve given you so many chances to prove you’re
Worthy of my trust
Guess I was wrong, huh?

I can relate to your writing and it's so honest and true. My only advice; be strong.

Losing a friend is a hard thing to do. As you get older it will happen over and over again.

Trust in your heart, though it is hurting be strong and move on.

I can tell you from personal experince if your best friend plays a move on your man and he goes neither one of them are worth your time or your heart. Rise above it...... You deserve better.

Great poem with raw emotions.

However, I disagree with Shelby. Although, your friend is low enough to steal someone you cared about, if she has done this on multiple occassions, she's obviously jealous of you and trying to prove something to you, maybe that she can get anyone you can?. The best thing you could do is forgive her, keep giving her that shoulder to cry on and she will truly resent what she has done to you because she will know you are a true friend.

I alway agree with shelby... It's happen to me... my best friend and my boyfriend when I was in the same house.... You don't need them in your life you are stonger then that.... Trust is not something that everyone gets, they have to prove to you that you can trust them....

Just be strong
