[hometext] => I wrote this at a time bereft with grief and confusion. It's sometimes amazing how vividly poetry can capture a moment.
[bodytext] => Solitude in a white walled room Thoughts weaving as the threads of a loom Tapestry of my desire Evoke in me the color of fire Tapestry become unwired Let the flames lick higher and higher Spin the pattern of melancholy White walled room can’t set me free For even if there were a key My darkened eyes would never see Cut the pain of tortured life Keen madness through a whetted knife See the wound gape upon the skin Overbearing the great uncalm within Blood: A catharsis for the soul When situated amid suicidal hold Blood: An escape to emptiness As thorny as a harpy’s caress I do not wish to see in me The moods that will not let me be I do not long for life or death For sorrow or a halted breath I do not wish to live a lie To mask the truth inside my eyes And therefor I may seem quite rude For all I crave is solitude [comments] => 2 [counter] => 177 [topic] => 39 [informant] => geogypsy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )
