I Remember

Remember the days,
Remember the times,
Remember the heartfelt broken sighs
When you got everything you wanted
And I got screwed,
I needed a father
And instead I got you.

Remember the days,
Remember the times,
Remember when there was no second side,
Just took life for what it was,
No need for thinking,
Its all gone by now without an inkling
As to how fast Id be sinking
Next time

Oh, remember the days,
Remember the times,
The good ol nights when I cried,
The innocence of when I used to wonder,
When I used to beg the heavens why?
When the demons decided to come inside
And forget their way out,
The only exorcism was to shout.

Remember the days,
Remember the times,
Remember the memories, I try
To forget, youre my regret,
Because you got everything you wanted,
And I got screwed.
I needed a father,
But instead I got you.

That was very emotional. I am really sorry, everyone needs a father. I hope things get better and you start to feel better.

Such a sad write...I know how you feel. When it came to fathers I got screwed too. Fathers are overrated and not needed. Your an excellent poet...great job on this.
