I have been thinking a lot about the past lately, and about how my perceptions and feelings have changed over the years... anyway, this is my way of venting. [bodytext] => From one sharing a soul to staring across the room

Wondering where I've seen that smile before

That sense of belonging is fading slowly

As the years continue

Has age brought out the sad truth

That differences cannot be ignored?

I try to construct a time machine

To take me back to those blue skies

Was there a time where I wasn't lost in a sea of strange faces?

The harsh cold wind hits hard after the shelter has been torn down

Hearts have been ripped, lies have been told

The blood has dried, but the scars and tears remain

The stars blink out, one by one

But the brightest one remains

That beautiful portal to the past

If only I could reach it...

We've become strangers, you and I...

i really like this...as we get older, we do alot more soul searching and at times it seems the more we see, the less we know especially about ourselves. anyway, i think you've done a wonderful job here. "the stars blink out, one by one...but the brightest one remains...that beautiful portal to the past...if only i could reach it" absolutely love that! thanks for sharing.

nicely done.. it's an interesting aspect of life that is often left alone and not many bother to think about it in such a way
