She looks so bad, clinging to my father for life.
She wipes another tear from her eyes,
and loses her ability to stare at me longer.
She collapses into his arms, and he helps her walk,
turning back just long enough to say good-bye

My sisters next, one by one
they are worse than my mom, each one sobbing strongly
One leans over, a small, love-filled peck on my forehead.
My brother then, but why? i had never told him i cared,
i guess it didnt matter, for he was here, his eyes were red.

One by one, people walked by, talking under thier breaths
whispering silent goodbyes, I knew some of them
others i had met only once, or had never shared a word with.
i had passed them in the hall, and nodded to them
A little nod, thats it, but they are good people, and shed a tear for me.

They all leave, the rooms gets quiet.
I stare at the ceiling for ever. Then he appears.
I feel my soul grow cold. i continue to stare into his faceless being.
He reaches for me. My last sight, the man i never met,
closing the lid of my last, eternal bed. [comments] => 0 [counter] => 195 [topic] => 13 [informant] => dark-one [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
