If I only had a time to live...
my end was drawing close.
My thoughts would turn to time
and God and the ones I love the most.
So in my mind would soon appear
the beauty of your face
and thoughts of you so wonderful....
your quiet and patient grace.
Of words you've spoken
my hand, you've held
somethings only I would know.
Your hands so soft
yet full of strength
for fears, we dared not show.
I want you to be happy now
and always ever after.
I want the heavens to be filled
with sounds of your sweet laughter.
I've loved you from the very first
my sister and my friend.
So smile for me and laugh for us
and God might giggle then.
Next time when I'm alone or sad
or just don't know what to do
of all the angels he could send
I'm sure he will choose you.
I know it's so and as it goes
the proof is in the living.
Of all the things you could be doing
you always choose the giving.
So tonight you made me smile
though you weren't even near...
as somewhere from another time
proof of your love appeared.
How did you know so long ago
that tonight my heart would break?
And yes I cried, all teary-eyed
for pain I'd not forsake.
I rummaged through old memories.
Some attachments unresigned
Melancholy moments
on which heartache relied.
Then from our past a card appeared
as if it were a ghost.
On the front, it said to me
to open and hold close
and so I did and then it read
'now squeeze'
'it's going to be just fine'.
Yes it was and yes it is
and it will always be.
So I send this hug to you
with all my love, from me.

This is beautiful ... there are different types and forms of love .. sisterly is indeed a special amongst them ....
