to the carpet that spring morn
cold and dead was her life once scorned
and nobody mourned, nobody mourned

The razor made it's way through skin
blue veins popped from arms too thin
Her body oh so scar adorned
and nobody mourned, nobody mourned

Her eyes rolled back into her head
still and sullen, her legs spread
one hand over her heart so torn
and nobody mourned, nobody mourned

No one ever seemed to care
No one ever found time to just be there
She finally succombed to lonely's raging storm
and nobody mourned, nobody mourned

"I love you" didn't mean a thing
those three words only brought her pain
she'd watch them turn their backs and walk away
she quit begging them to stay

Sick and tired of living in a selfish world
and feeling different from the other girls
It was a fight ever sense the day she was born
and nobody mourned, nobody mourned

Even her "friends" finally turned their backs
without reason at all they gave no facts
She saw it coming so she wasn't too torn
and nobody mourned, nobody mourned

Though she had so much to offer, no one cared to see
the unique beauty that flowed so free
she was a rose in full bloom, just had too many thorns
and nobody mourned, nobody mourned

She cared for so many, had love in her heart
but that night her compassion turned dark
nobody thought she would do herself harm
still nobody mourned, nobody mourned

She cradled herself inside her own arms
the only embrace she ever had to keep warm
then out of lonely desperation took a blade to her arm
and just like she thought nobody mourned [comments] => 3 [counter] => 222 [topic] => 36 [informant] => sour_gurl67 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

Amazing write, and so true almost everyone that thinks of suicide wonders if anyone would care if they were gone and eventually most realize...either in time...or too late... the people really do care. beautiful write so full of emotion and excellently expressed nicely done!

A beautiful but painful read .....

Just how many have to take this step to be heard or thought of? It breaks my heart

You did this brilliantly well done

Dee xx

awwww!

this is so sad. i used to think about suicide alot and i used to believe that nobody would mourn...

it wasn't until i was hospitalized and got over 30 'get well soon' cards from the other girls in my class at school that i realised how much i would have hurt every body if i really had killed myself.

...think about it...
