Array ( [sid] => 132037 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Did I Love Her? [time] => 2007-02-23 16:46:04 [hometext] => This is about one of my exes, we broke up over the summer and now we don't speak to each other... [bodytext] => She says I never cared, that I used her and lied.
Yes, I did and a part of me died.
I try to punish myself because I caused your pain,
but it seems it wouldn't matter, you even hate my name.
I changed while we were together, changed back to the old me,
I never wanted it to happen, but I had to set the lion free.
I never, ever meant to hurt you or see you cry.
I never wanted to leave you, I never wanted to lie.
Times change, people change as time moves on,
now I sit here wondering if we could have lasted long.
But the question is did I really care.
I did, and now the pain is more than I can bear.
I shoot poison into my veins to make myself feel better,
I even tried to write you an apology letter.
I never sleep, cause I always see your face,
I wish we could start again, have the past erased.
But who am I kidding, what do I think?
I believe I will die alone, in sorrow's drink.
Poison in my blood, poison in my head,
I wish, yes I wish, I was already dead. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 224 [topic] => 24 [informant] => whiteleo1984 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )

It is a wonderful poem, if it is only a poem - if not I think you must talk to your love rather then talking about "poison in the blood" it is like having evil poison in the head.
A honest way to express your emotions.

Wow! I am somewhat speechless after reading this. It is amazing the affect that love can have on one's mind. But in regards to your writing, good job. I hope everything is better now.
