The Price of My Talent

Contributed by needledancing on Tuesday, 13th February 2007 @ 08:54:11 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Im totally frustrated with all that Ive tried,
From love to poetry, money claims my pride.
The poorest of men dont stand a chance,
If the money he needs is not in his pants,

If he cant pay his way in the things he creates,
His death is his fortune in the order of fates.
A dollar will make your voice heard right now,
Raising the dollar you have to ask How?

I am totally inspired and dont own the means,
A creative being in nothing but jeans.
Who will listen to all that I say,
In the world of greed where I can not pay?

Ah a paupers piece I too recognize all to well and struggle with wind mills from a mind to 'see the skull beneath the scalp' yet in joy of life you just keep writing and soon the question will turn around to' what does it pay?'

Good Job

Peace

I know only to well of this cursed nightmare you write about here. And beautifuly written it is. Yet so horridly true. Nice work.
