He had no wings nor did he fly.
Cherubic music he didn’t play,
Nor did he glow as bright as day.
No halo sat upon his head,
For he still lived, he was not dead.

To most, just another man,
Trying to do the best he can.
But as surely as the sun will rise,
A glimpse of heaven was in his eyes.
He didn’t know I watched him go,
To a stranger say hello,
And stop and lend a helping hand,
When things didn’t go as planned.

An angel he may not be,
But his example was heaven sent to me.
To help me through my strife,
And show me of a better life.
I saw an angel walking by,
He had no wings nor did he fly.
But an angel he was to me,
That a better person I may be.
