a little demon tries to fight
throws bricks and stones
at our soul
bites at our ear lobes
and pinches our hearts

flick this little troll away, dear Love
fight back with a fist of roses
bite the nose off
and wipe the blade clean
look to a star that is lit by the essence of your Princess

she is watching you through shadowed eyes
breathing in your pain and tossing it out with the trash
they don't belong here anymore
these demons that try to trick and tempt us
they are not welcome anymore
in this holy place of forgiveness

you are a good man
you have heard this before
in countless ways for countless different meanings
trust in this, my noble Knight
trust in me
trust in Love
and, most of all
trust in YOU
