The horses came and grazed
And the soldiers on their backs
With swords of Red Ablaze

From Holy War,
The Warriors had came
With anger in their hearts
With souls all a flame

Men they had fought
A battle of great fury
Decades it had lasted
Maybe Years Maybe a Century

Then a greater task arose
To transport a Grail
Across the lands
And they cannot fail

And thus to a pit
The treasure was buried
What it was, we shall not know
But no longer shall it be carried

But now, the journey ends
And the Templar’s can sleep calm
But in the twilight of disaster
Was that the beginning of a Maelstrom?

I LOVE IT!!!
Unfortunately, I abhor the idea of hundreds of years of war being fought in the name of a monotheistic power head...but on the other hand, I've always had a bit of an altruistic crush on the idea of the, " Knights Templar".All in all, I said it best above...

I LOVE IT!!!
Great job!Write on...

This is a very strong poem which reflects the strength of the warriors. Are you a religious person by any chance?
