Power of unknown strength,
Energy of unknown persistence,
Intelligence of unknown capability,
I don’t know who you are,
I don’t know what you do,
I don’t know where you are,
I don’t know how you feel,

Like a sky reaching barricade,
With barbwire all around,
Is your heart blocked off from reach,
Like a war torn battle field is the path inside you,
So far away your eyes drift off,
So much hidden in your smile,
So many questions with no answers,
So you say I should leave,

There is something I see,
In the shimmer behind your eye,
There is something I hear,
In the authority deep in your voice,
You may not agree nor see my reasons,
But with you I long to stay,
In the shadow of your chiseled frame,
And in your arms of iron,

Its not mere happiness I seek,
Nor pleasure from a man,
I simply want to know all of you,
And make you smile when you’re down,
There is much I don’t know,
More I don’t understand,
Much I don’t trust,
And a little I don’t like,

But in my derelict, imperfect, and scared heart,
I know something I cannot say,
I feel something I cannot explain,
My head refuses, while my heart whimpers yes,
More than anything.
What remains, You and me?
No, you and who you are,
Whatever that may be,
And with me freezing in this confusion.

I guess I know inspired this... It's not good to see you hurting like this. This poem carries through how confused and powerless you feel. It's a really moving piece that makes me wish I could do something to make you smile.
I'm wishing you all the best Alison and I hope it all works out in the end.
Great write...

- Tim
