That's not so good if you like light for
Well this just sucks
Say the people outside all depressed like
How can it already be dark for!
Well the sun probably rises a little bit earlier in the morning now
And the earth tilts back from the sun too
Days are a bit shorter because
Of course they are
Well take your fancy science books and throw them at the moon [comments] => 1 [counter] => 218 [topic] => 21 [informant] => JockPhillips [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Jock!

Great and wonderful write you have here, it can be gloomy depending on the reader; the last line gave me a chuckle, even though I know it can be a very serious ending line. Your poem has a lot to say, bringing the reader in to think deeper about having natural light as a true gift. Fake light can stimulate our physical and emotional bodies when our biorhythm system is changed up...when natural sunlight becomes limited, true light that helps to keep us from becoming too depressed or sad which in turn may make us very ill. In the darker seasons, it helps me to eat even more nutritious and take in more exercise.. walking works for me, and when I get real down, the tanning booth works for too, a couple times a week, 10 min. sessions. Treatments are out there for those who have deeper problems with depression and mood disorders when natural light is lessened. A lot of treatments, medications are being abused, and the talk is widely opened now days on the subject of depression. Yes, the moon must be loaded with science books by now, lol..but it is most helpful to learn and listen about your own body at all times, and reach out for medical help when truly needed. I liked the flow of the way you wrote it and so I thank you for posting. Sone…
