I watched from afar
When she would gaze
into your eyes
How her face would light up
But what caught me
most by surprise,
The great big stars
that shined in your eyes
You danced her around
as if she was your own
Wishing you could somehow
take her home
You listened so close
when she spoke her first words
and held on tight
As she took her first steps
with all her might
She was your little angel
And now you are hers
I will remind her everyday
How you loved her
In every way.
