I would in a heartbeat

To get you out of mind
One less battle to defeat

To see you one last time
Would bring a shiver to my knees

To feel your skin against mine
Would make these previous moments obsolete

If I could go on living without you
I would already be gone

When I crave your warmth
I reach for another instead

With thoughts of you
Running all through my head

If I could let you go
Pretend your dead

If I could be happy no matter what
Smiles emerge

When the pain and doubt
Submerged with urgency

Accordingly, I am left wondering
Why you chose me

If I could be your love
You are all I see

If I could leave
I have departed from sensibility

If I could change
I seek a transformation of spirit

If I could believe
I have less faith minute by minute

When it is finally agreed
The work is considered finished

If I am in need
(Then show me how to bleed)
Come to me and simply take it

If I could speak to you
I would tell you my deepest secrets

If I could confide in you
I would reveal my sincerest wishes

If I could reach you
I would grab on for dear life

If I could taste you
I would be satiated and gratified

When I smell you
Senses heighten

With you
I am always excited

Without you
Uninvited
