Something I haven't seen in a while

I'd slit the worlds throat to hear one more "I love you"
I'd pull down the stars and throw them to different ends
I'll drown in my own worthlessness before I take the time to lose you

So I'll be left with nothing to live or die for
Turn your back and walk away
Lay this lover's heart to rest

I have no reason to be, without you a part of me. . . Emotionionally draining for such a short poem, despair is expressed deeply here. Like a lot of us, writing helps ease such despair, it's not a cure, but it certainly helps.
Nice one.

this has so much depth and emotion to it, yet you used so few and simple words, a very hard task to accomplish, yet you did it, im lovein it, thank you for the read.

really powerful opening lines. as soon as you start to read you feel just....sad, desperate. i dont often feel this affected by words.
