dancing with an open gate to the world above

lost in deep and shallow regret cold as winter morn
never showing heartfelt joy with this relationships are torn

separate from mortal man death has no physical place
living in this bland dull life running without taste

in comes a frontal situation a test for walking ice
trying to open up and give the illusion of being nice
but being so clear my image breaks the empty in me cries
walking with open views my perspective slowly dies

in touch i'm here but emotions run short i am an empty shell
warming up in gentle flames i flounder in my hell
with two left feet i will walk this way forever gaining score
hopefully to escape these chains and win this inner war

do not regret the times we spent in slumber and of bliss
in my heart deep down inside i think that you will be missed

but i regret nothing no speal of how i'm wrong
in regards to open love it never does grow strong

Wow, Relic this is a fantastic write. So many good lines in here. I love how you wrote it. The two four-line stanzas in the middle were well written. Thank you for sharing.
Peace and hugs, Laura
