Winding staircase and many floors,
Locks are plenty , but no keys,
Its called my inner self you see,

My prospects are so undecided,
As I have often to others confided,
But they can never see it clear,
My fragile self I hide in here,

My thoughts they are no open book,
You will never see or take a look,
For they are held in this fragile heart,
That grief and pain once tore apart,

My memories are mine to keep,
Locked away in my mind so deep,
I treasure them for they are me,
They show how good life used to be,

So my space is just a comfort zone,
Trapped inside , on my own,
Its how I want my life to be,
For I can't be hurt that way you see,

My future I have not determined yet,
I am taking only the smallest steps,
For what lies ahead I do not know,
But one day my confidence it may grow,

So my space is still where I belong,
Lifes journey hard and very long,
One day I might just learn to fly,
Till then don't ask for reasons why,

For I am just a chrysallis,
My true self is locked inside,
One day I may just be set free,
And become a butterfly.

right for you to set yourself free. (Some of us are
