Sunshine in the forecast

As I walk down this dark road,
A place I don't want to be,
I know I will see the light,
Eventually.
I don't stay on this road for long,
I've been here before,
All I have to hold on to,
Is what He done for me before.
I know He will grab my hand,
He won't let me walk alone,
I know I have to understand,
That another place I will roam.
This is just for a little while,
To change me within,
A place where I may not be on the mountain,
But I know who is my friend.
I may see the dark clouds,
The rain falls each day,
But I know who will bring sunshine,
My way.
Until that time comes,
Until the day is new,
I know who will be walking next to me,
I know He loves me too.
