I remain unimpressed As your words begin to digest The very interior of chest My thoughts of love On to you I must confess The true fight which is fought Counteracting my loneliness Balanced scales weigh wishes Knives and forks compliment expensive dishes Surreptitious with secret ingredients No additives or preservatives Fresh from the market Come the provisions The vegetables, fruits, and herbs Combine for a delicious Salad of mixed greens and conditions
Making enemies When friends are needed When battles are defeated And demons have receded Into the backdrop of all previous All have seen these Displays of achievement A matter of convenience In the lap of luxury Sits nothing necessary All becomes extraordinary To repeat, out of the ordinary Upbeat, in moments of glory Only to fall from eighty-six stories Into the arms of something holy

If this ain't a definition of gripping and captivating and darned enjoyable, I got the wrong dictionary. Really enjoyed this line by line "torture chamber". 'Cept the meal; maybe the condemned's last! Good work.
