Can’t you rope me that moon?
Catch me a star
Take me there in your heart?
Take me to the next elevation
of love romance and freedom
yes, you in the eyes so blue
I see you may have lost the moon
it got away, darkness blinded you
crushed your heart
it sadly fell apart
but I see a smile in your hand
reaching to me, with a plan...
With no words said, I see it
I feel you in it...
So, if you can throw me the rope,
I’ll wrap it up in the star y slope,
catch the stars and bring them down
lighten your world, upside down
then, would you, could you
catch for me, the moon?
Take my heart with your smile,
and hold me in your arms for a while?
So many ‘a times and promises
yet in the sky the moon still remains
will you be the one to catch me the moon
Would, you could you, soon?
My heart, has long enough
been shredded all up
like the shredded pieces of a rope,
unable to catch me any hope
yet two people, from different walks of life
come together longing for light
maybe you could throw
a life jacket out, pull me in with a lasso-
to save my broken heart
and keep me from drowning down too far
so yeah, you with that catch able smile
and the eyes of warmth, you show
Would you be willing?
Would you bring me to you?
If so, I will take off your shoes
lay you back and take care of you-
I would see the world with you,
and let you show me too,
how one may be loved so good,
and treated like a lover should
if you’ll love me, I’ll help you along
in faith and trust in us and God
if you lasso the moon for me
I will bring to you, a higher life of dignity
a higher love, a higher goodness
a higher, you, a higher I, a higher us
if we chose a life with God
and live love in the higher law
so could you, would you
Rope, lasso, catch me the moon?
Bring it down to my lap
Teach me to love and laugh?
Would you Bring me, the world
Only in just a few words?
Say you will catch me the moon
lasso it, bring it down to me soon?
