Let go of reins slipping like memories To be someone elses dejavu Cigarettes in her purse that nobody knows about Clenching her teeth when she sleeps Uneasy in the crowds and alone She looks up at the sky Thinking she sees heaven above Wondering where all the angels hide Behind those dark clouds she nods to the west Where the storms come down from the mountains Following the river to the sea She feels the cool wet sand on bare feet Looking out across the Atlantic longingly She knows the sound of his voice Calling her, calling her, calling her to him She longs for the feel of his touch Let go of the here and now She tries to catch a rainbow As he clicks each frame of her journey Keeping her in focus as she passes by Shoulders brush against each other But they cannot move their tongues to say hello So they never really meet

Merry, another well contructed, thought-provoking post. I especially loved the last two lines.
Your poems traverse the visceral to the virtual, but where is it all anyway, if not just inside our head? Visions of Marilyn Monroe and her photoshoots on Zuma beach, don't know why. Maybe that's the point.
