The whispered voice in your ear
Calliope is here

Washed by thought of velvet
Certainty of steel
The message as always
Take time to feel

The wisdom of knowing, the deepest voice within
Is the one you must listen to
For inherent in man, is goodness within

How you express
How you display
Make your mark true to you
Say what you need to say

She often say’s look deeper
And then the surface she shows you
Reminding you of basic pleasures
Asking you to appreciate anew

Wandering away from your purpose?
Of purpose your find yourself unclear?
Step back, reprioritise
Calliope is here

Try a different angle
The bigger or smaller picture see
A small step or a big jump
Let the inner voice free

She asks what does it mean in the greater scheme of things?
Is this how you wished to be remembered when it posthumously sings?

Within these questions your heart can find a path
Calliope has been here and now the road is clear.

Very abstract, I must say. A lot of very insightful stanzas, each revealing some new life lesson. Nice work.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
