The one who tore my upside-down world apart
Heard a soul’s desperate pleas, parted a blackened sea
Cured these wings of their painful atrophies

In the eyes of the fallen angel, she’s so much more
Than what anything else has ever been before
More than just a photograph on my computer table
More than just a memory of my life’s unfinished fable

A testament to the things that are so hard to find
Pure beauty inside and out, and I can claim her as mine
If eternal love is the prison, everyone makes it out to be
Then don’t be afraid to close the door, and throw away the keys

Within her eyes dance my childhood memories
Of wishful thinking of what would be my destiny
And who would eventually find what I tried to hide
The severed emotions that I held deep down inside

In the eyes of the fallen angel, she’s so much more
Than what anything else has ever been before
More than just a photograph on my computer table
More than just a memory of my life’s unfinished fable

With lips that are flavored of finest honey
The super sweet sugar rush, shocking me
Granting me a new found spark of energy
Turning gears and inspiring brand new poetry

In the eyes of the fallen angel, she’s so much more
Than what anything else has ever been before
More than just a photograph on my computer table
