As He sat upon His throne,
I asked the Father,
When was He going to call His children home.

I saw tears fall from His eyes,
Tears that shouldn't be,
I thought there wasn't any tears seen
In eternity.

These tears were bright gold,
Falling to the floor,
I knew deep within,
They had fallen like this before.

I asked the Father why,
Was He crying at all,
He said time is to short,
I soon will make my call.

Many people don't accept me,
They don't even seem to care,
I have reached out to touch them,
But they were unaware.

I sent angels to help them,
They seem to do just fine,
But they don't give me the glory,
They say it was a coincidence each time.

I put up road blocks,
I throw them a helping hand,
I try to do my best,
To help all man.

But I sit at this window in Heaven,
I look and I see,
That everyone is doing their own thing,
Their minds aren't on me.

Some talk to me each day,
I hear what they have to say,
They are the ones I look forward to see,
On judgment day.

But my other children that are living,
I draw them to me each day,
But words come out of their mouths,
Like get out of my way.

They don't want to know me,
They don't care at all,
They only want me around,
When they fall.

I run to them and hold them,
I try to kiss their aches and pains,
But they say let them be,
And then they blame me for their mistakes.

So each day I am watching,
Each day comes and goes,
And no one knows about my tears.
But then I guess you know.

Yes, I know about your tears I said,
I feel them in my heart,
The day you moved into my life,
And told me you will never part.

You placed within my heart,
A love that is full of grace,
I know it is there,
That will never be replaced.

I know when your happy,
I know when your sad,
I know when I done something good,
I know when I done something bad,
I can just imagine how you feel,
When you look down to see,
All the children you have created,
The ones that Jesus set free. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 141 [topic] => 19 [informant] => sandypoet [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => InspirationalPoems )
Tears of GOLD

So true we ask sometimes when we need something but when all is ok we forget to say thanks.. We also blame God but I always blame the devil for bad things so have got some things right I hope. . Great poem. xxx
