Array ( [sid] => 12275 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Confusion [time] => 2003-02-09 13:40:00 [hometext] => i wrote this when i was 16... my take on the hypocrisy i feel there is in our world and the effects it has on our reality... (if you are religious, please do not take offense) [bodytext] => the piercing eyes and punctured lips
flow infested blood of long-ago saints
do you pray?

mary's statue is playing a trick on me
she winks with a taunting sneer
as the priest bellows on in a crazy urgency:
"Believe! Believe! Believe, or DIE!"

Confusion swims round my head
and the pieces fall into place
don't you see?

the wind blows the stains away
and the culprit is revealed
crouching in the corner as you confess
to the most undaunted crimes
and jesus pays the price again
is that what you think?

while skipping rope, the little one falls
no one is there, like you thought

something's wrong in the air
and the man on the bench moves again
it's always the same
can you feel it?
