My arms can not reach
Though my mind can
Did I chop off my legs
Reconnect them at the ankle?
Disentangle my spinal chord
install faulty lines, scarring bone structure
Did I take a knife to my breast and tear out flesh?
Did I ask
when I was born
Did I ask
To be born
Did I ask
Did I look you in the eye
and
ask permission
for what is
Irrepressible

Wishful thinking never did me any good,
Patience never made me stronger.
But
No it doesn't
hurt to lean down and
Kiss me
It doesn't hurt to
Embrace me
It doesn't hurt to
Smile as though the word is ending

Eloquent blather,
Didn't your mother teach you
Not to use those words?
Didn't your mother teach you
Not to pierce the core-even unknowingly--
Not to bruise the heart on
That simple green sleeve

Eloquent blather.
but wasn't I warned.
Wasn't I warned by continuing irony
Wasn't I warned by well meaning
Parade Rainers,
Smile Killers,
And Friends.

Punished by Providence:
If love is my sin
Than let me burn……
Burn for eternity.
Let my skin be burnt until
It's black and crispy
Let my eyes become nothing but holes
Let my skull become deformed along with the rest of my youth,
As my eyes are Deformed

For youth is not what ails me,
Youth is a figment of the
Petty
Construction of society.
My eyes are bright, young you may say But
My Bones have been here
Since
The
Beginning.

If love is my sin
Let me bleed
And be crucified along with
Hordes of unrepentant sinners.
