in a barren dessert land
it the midst of mockery
laughter echoes in her hearing
while she turns away
from wealth and fame
a perfect face they say
and ashamed to let it go to away
here, alone she does stand
in the dessert land
oh, the tears she cried
falling upon the dessert dry
much like a house abandoned
once a single prized posession
for so many see houses of diversity
quickly they judge of their beauty
by setting them in category
of their worth and prosperity
much like the perfect house
she exquisitely stands out
and all is seen is this perfection
only surface deep, exterior to her skin
but many do not know
or do not want to show
what makes a house a home
is what goes on inside a soul
while a home slowly
loses its beauty,
fading away in the dying heat
beauty remains inside deep-
for beauty means nothing
with out depth and meaning
now she stands looking for
someone who will walk inside her door
for laughter and mockery
shows that all is seen is her beauty
for wisdom tells her soul
that what makes a house a home
is what goes on inside her soul
with out question, this she does know
beauty fades, dies away
but love remains and stays
til wrinkles withers a body away
and color long fades
the love inside forever stays
creating beauty God intended to make
mockery is only surface deep
shallow and with out meaning
she chose to walk alone
without fame or fortune
as she stands in the barren dessert land
with only one possession in her hand
“integrity”
of all the greatest beauty
only found inside her soul
for that’s what makes a house a home

The beauty found inside her soul is all that could ever matter, at least that is what I keep hoping and what I have always hoped.

Yes, I hope this is what makes a house a home.

THIS IS TRULY A WORK OF ART!!!!
