While the tears roll down your cheek.
It’s hard to tell him not to go,
When you can barely speak.

Broken hearts are hard to heal,
There’s no band aid or get better pill.
It hurts to see him moving on,
When you’re hanging on still.

How am I supposed to let go,
Of a love that was so strong?
Please tell me where I messed up,
When did things go wrong?

I remember when I looked into those big blue eyes,
And I saw a future with you and me.
I bet if you looked into mine,
I’m sure that’s what you would see.

I hate waiting by the phone,
Hoping that you’ll call.
But inside I know,
You’re gone and that’s all.

I don’t wanna hear your voice,
And I don’t wanna see your face.
I wanna let go and move on,
And never leave a trace.

I want to pack up all my things,
And drive so very far away.
I want this heart of mine to heal,
I know it will someday.

I just need to let go of this love,
It’ll get better with time.
I makes me happy just to know,
That for a moment, you were mine. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 188 [topic] => 22 [informant] => pats4eva7 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Yep, you live and learn and sometimes it's just best to walk away... and never look back.

Very good write!
