She was the apple of everyone's eye
But her happiness was only skin deep
For her smile was a lie

There was a sinking feeling
She couldn't understand and didn't know why
She had suicidal thoughts within
Which she could neither define nor deny

Perhaps they were caused by the breaking of her heart
When her beau left her in loneliness
Her world was falling apart
Although surrounded by friends she felt a certain emptiness

Dizzying emotions swirled endlessly in her mind
She was on the verge of insanity
Running out of time
What was left in humanity?

She felt better after swallowing some pills
Standing on a cliff, at the very edge
It was a battle of wills
To push herself off the ledge

Towards the abyss she swayed
She squeezed her eyes shut
Her decision was made
To end her fragile existence but

She felt a yank on her arm
Hauling her to safety
Pulling her away from harm
Jolting her back to reality

Tears streaming down her face
She looked up at her saviour
And lunged herself into her embrace
Whispering 'Thank you, mother'

Excellent write...no matter what happens, there'll always be someone for us out there...life too is also beautiful, so why waste it? be patient and be strong, and you will see wonders.
