[hometext] => I'm not to sure what inspired me to right this poem. Maybe watching Seabiscuit.
[bodytext] => The dark stallion runs without a chance of winning. But it still exhausts itself without any reason. It pushes onward though its hopelessly slower He doesn’t care that he is in last His pride overwhelms his inability. And his dignity surpasses all doubts. There is only one reason why he races: To prove it all to himself. All the taunts and insults do not affect him For he is strong in his own thoughts. All he knows is how to push himself Even though his effort is not enough. The horse is old and unwanted by all He is a long shot at best the dark horse at most. His time never happened and never will. All he can do is follow the next leading steed. He runs to give other horses confidence. while sacrificing his own He never won a single race. He never had a single fan.
