Everyday we live a lie
The truth can't be seen and I know why
You always say it's me
But really it's the things you think I don't see
You want me to show you that I care
But when I need you, you aren't there
I wonder where you are, then you question me
It isn't my nature It's your jelousy
Why should I go out of my way
To hear something you'll never say
Promises are never kept
And under the rug secrets are always swept
I was happy with the way things were
But you wanted more
So I stepped up , and you closed the door
She is not me and I am not she
You say I'm everything you wanted me to be
I do what I can
But your not acting like a man
Though it's hard for me to say
Things can't go on this way
You need to step up or walk away
