[time] => 2006-03-27 13:44:49 [hometext] => Once I post this, I'll erase it from my word processer and attempt to forget. I would like to note however, that sometimes we need to be honest with ourselves. always, abraham [bodytext] => To look upon my life, one must look upon sorrow.
I have lived greatly, with greater still to come.
I have been treated with kindness, and have been loved deeply.
Yet, it is not enough.

Of all my loves, I have not found a great love.

I remember having a kitten as a child.
My brother and I loved that little cat.
We named it Marshmallow.
It got sick one day, and in following days, died.
I have carried that with me all of my life.

My brother, for seven years, had a Guinea Pig.
It died he mourned.
Some years later, angry at him, I told him it was his fault.
He wept, and I will never forget.

Many believe that, because of poetry, because I can write so easily of love, that I am a kind and gentle soul.

I am not.

I am cruel and bitter. I am hate upon hate.
I have not done any good in my life.
All I write is empty, brazen crap.
I am filled with anger, embittered by the blindnesses of others.
I am the one who is blind.
I am the pitiless one, the heartless one.

I can weep openly.
I can write love and sadness
as if it is known to me
as if I have surrendered myself.

I have never given myself fully to another.
I have cursed many.
I have hated, and will hate.

I am nothing but a *******.

To look upon my life, is to look upon the sorrow of those who knew me. I FEEL SO SORRY FOR YOU THAT YOUR HEART IS SO FULL OF HATE. I HAVE JUST READ TWO OTHER POEMS ABOUT NATURE AND ITS WONDERS THEN YOURS AND FEEL YOU NEED TO GO SIT UNDER A TREE AND JUST LISTEN TO THE WORLD. AS IT IS NOT REALLY AS BAD AS THAT IF YOU LET THE NICE THINGS COME INTO YOUR LIFE. STOP BLOCKING THEM OUT. LIFE IS ONLY LIVED ONCE AND IT WOULD BE SUCH A SHAME TO SEE YOU NOT ENJOY JUST A LITTLE OF IT. SOMEONE THAT CAN HATE THAT MUCH CAN ALSO LOVE THAT MUCH YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO DO IT. OK ....I CAN SEE A VERY BEAUTIFUL PERSON UNDER ALL THAT. LOTS OF LOVE TO YOU JENNIFERX

this is a very powerful poem of a rather pained soul, but there is just one thing that left me puzzled, maybe for nothing though.

I have lived greatly, with greater still to come.
I have been treated with kindness, and have been loved deeply.

what i wonder is what brought on the....cruelty and misery..if it seems as though things have been in its place. although, i guess, some things just dig deeper than that. or am i totally off base here?

anyway, your writing is wonderful, and leaves us wishing you luck on your wellbeing.
