She has lost herself
Her senses start to slow

Memories come harder each day
More often than not she
Seems to lose her way

Traveling on lacey threads
Broken dreams fall
As she silently treads

Stardust blows past
Her mind grows narrow
Moments never last

Caught in insanity
Once more unrelenting
Time to set her spirit free

Yes indeed Shari this is a great w rite.
But even the loss of memory rings the eternal truth home that the mind itself is not what we are.
Is only part ;of the clay no matter how highly appreciated. The spirit triumphs when mind fails.
Great write
Elizabeth Dandy

I use to work in a nursing home and like Laura it reminded me of some of the elderly people I cared for, it also bought back memories of my mother towards the end, you could see the confusion in her eyes.

Excellent writing.

J.
