And time flies by the child that in darkness rose.
Her hair is midnight black like the wing of a raven,
And her lips are soft like a petal of a rose.
Her only thought was the revenge she would take,
On the ones that left her to die.
Her eyes are hazel and she is sweet,
Never needing anymore to cry.
The pain of life has left her cold and alone,
Without love and with out care.
She sits by the window watching,
Her sorrow too much to bare.
The street is quiet as the night falls,
The lights of the lamps cast an interesting glow.
She sees one then another of the night men,
And her hopes begin to grow.
When she blinks they are gone,
And her hope is dashed.
Then she feels the breath of one of them,
And knows she soon will be snatched.
Her purpose is clear and she wonders if they know,
How long she has waited, worried and watched.
She smiles as she sees where her revenge will be met,
They take her to the place where her death before was botched.
Then she sees it small but looming,
A gravestone with her name on it and a date.
Then she looks at those that brought her,
And she feels slipping away the hate.
