Unannounced you stepped into my life
And proved to me love exists
You made me fall inlove with you
Making you impossible to resist.
You stumbled across a broken heart
And mended it so quickly
You knew that I was aching-
You handled me so gently.
I was completely hooked on you
You had me in a trance
But then you went and hurt me
And blew your only chance.
You always knew how to manipulate me
And how to play with my emotions
I don't know how you could do this
When I've only ever showed you devotion.
Unconsciously I guess I saw it coming
Because a good thing will never last,
How could I expect my prayer to come true?
It was silly of me to ask.
I shouldn't of put my heart in your hands
But I can make it on my own,
I need to escape from this path-
Destination. . . unknown.
