Step inside and wipe your brow And take a moments shelter from the frost, Tread softly on this dangerous ground, You whove loved but never lost Sit now down by the fire, Rest your bones and drink your tea, But its your ears I do desire, For you have so much to learn from me Although not old in years, granted, I have forged quick a heavy heart, Like a foolish blacksmith finished Before he could ever truly start Take heed of my example Pioneered against my will, Decreed though all things ample One may never earn his fill The old clich weaves its wisdom Giving witness most sound of council, Each christening his own kingdom Though do not slow so much for careful Come let me paint a place in your mind Unnamed and proud to be so Where those who live can only find Emotions penned ageless years ago, Those rejoicing to fill the prospect of gold, Tend not to see beauty in the unspoken Respect for the riches but not for the old Leaves Philistines unknowingly heartbroken Listen now, We live only as long as it takes A handful of aurulent dawns to break All that I am asking of you Is to tear down your walls and bask in a few
